About
Cala d'Or is one of the most attractive of Majorca's resorts. It is built around a series of sandy bays. You will find a yacht club in one of these bays at Cala Llonga. There is an abundance of cafes and bars around the area
Cala d'Or is one of the liveliest beach areas on the island.
The resort is very cosmopolitan, which prides itself on it's trendy marina. There are plenty shops and classy restaurants in the area. This is a large resort which caters for everyone and offers good beaches and bars.
Restaurants and bars
- Café Continental, on the Cala d'Or side of the marina, offers delicious snacks and meals such as jacket potatoes with various fillings and a wide selection of freshly made sandwiches.
- There is a Hawaiian cocktail bar called Mabu-Hay, great drinks and a fun atmosphere.
- Barlovento offers - among other thngs steaks which are great value (if you can finish them!) Prices are good and the range of dishes is excellent.
- The favoured Indian restaurant in the resort is called India. This is a must for those who miss their Tikkas ! Make a night of it.
- For those who prefer chinese, The Shangrila Chinese restaurant
can be found in the town centre. The Peking duck is the best around.
- The Devonshire Dumpling. Is a typical British pub food place which also caters for vegetarians.
- Bar Burvila is a tapas bar on waterfront in Puerto Petro. Expect only the highest quality food here.
- Red Lion pub - What can be said? A typical British style pub. As seen in every holiday resort!
- Port Pub at the Marina (obviously) Popular with the yacht owners. Offers peace and quiet and good value for money
- Close by is the El Yate restaurant. First-class setting with first class prices. Make this your special night.
- Blanco y Negro (Black and White) by the marina is open all year round & serves pizzas and seafood
- If you're looking for a good English breakfast or just a taste of home, try Walsh's in Playa Ferrera.
- Missing your burgers? Well this place still has a wimpys! The have a wide range of ermmm burgers!
- Tijuana anyone? Taco's Grill is an excellent restaurant. Enjoy the hot mexican food and colour in the tablecloth with chalk!
- Neptuno restaurant bar is popular with the locals, which means it's good value and has a friendly atmosphere,
- There is an Internet Café by the marina. Good coffee and fast ADSL connection
After dark
- Linekers is situated in the town center. Drop in for the evening and hear all the latest tunes.
- Opposite Linekers is the music bar Cream. It boasts an outdoor terrace and plays great music.
- Disco Alfa is one of the most popular nightclubs in the centre of Cala d'Or. Watch out for the inflatable toys!
- Karaoke kings and queens should hit Hollywoods, next to Es Ravell d'Or, where you'll see Del Boy and Rodney on constant replay.
- La Cueva's (The Cave) disco bar is one of the most popular places in Puerto Petro.
- Missing your old Ibiza holidays? Then try the foam party (Fiesta del espuma)
at Farrahs Planet Ibiza. Bring sensable cothes for this one!
- Dirty Duck pub is one of the smallest bars. It's worth a visit. It's not a 'gay only' bar, so if you like Gloria Gaynor and Kylie, this is the place to go
Beach Life
- Cala Gran is the largest beach thogh can be very busy int he height of the season. You can get buses to other nearby towns where the beaches are a little quieter
