Magaluf Majorca
About
Magaluf is Majorcas answer to Ibizas San Antonio.
Now the islands number one resort for young people. It's been a popular resort for over 40 years, so they know how to cater for all tourists.
Magaluf has a great beach, one of the best on the island, complete with all the usual watersports. This resort offers something for everyone, whatever the age.
Solitude can still be found at
Cabo de Cala Figuera, with it's quiet beaches and great views, you'll forget you are in a popular tourist resort.
Despite efforts to improve its reputation over the last few years it remains a place that's all about having a good time, and not much else.
Nightlife
- The club scene here is becoming much better known and is known as Ibiza's baby brother - top DJ's like Judge Jules and Dave Pearce come here during the week to do their stuff.
- At the BCM club you can see the likes of Des 'welcome to the dance' Mitchell every week. Foam parties are frequent and wet !
- Bananas club is probably second only to BCM. Great atmosphere and massive floor filling tunes.
- Carwash is basically the '70s place to visit. The music does range right through to present day classics though. The staff are friendly and seem to enjoy themselves as much as the punters! Try make the effort to don that afro wig and big glasses.
- Piccadilly's fun pub is a great starter bar, karaoke and dancing get you in the mood for clubbing.
- Poco Loco (Little Crazy) is a bar disco. Music is from the 60s -80s great party bar
- Tokyo Joe's is a free to get in nightspot. There is a large dancefloor for the divas and four bars for the 'lads'
Beach Life
- There are 24 beaches along this stretch of coastline. Everything from wicked lively beaches to family fun beaches.
- Magaluf's lively beach can get crowded in the height of the season. Watersports are a plenty and there are Cruz Roja (Red Cross) lifeguards keeping an eye on things.
- Palma Nova is practically joined on to Magaluf. It has it's own beach which is slightly quieter than Magaluf's, but can still get busy during the high season. It's great for swimming, snorkelling and scuba-diving.
Out & About
- The Aqua Park on the outskirts of Magaluf is OK, but Western Water park is much better with it's West theme.
It has
jacuzzis
and great waterslides.
- Marineland aquarium near Portals Nous has performing dolphins and seals.
- Take a glass bottom catarmaran around the coastline of Majorca. There are some great coves only accessable by boat.
- Take the short walk to Palma Nova and you will find a 54-hole crazy golf course. Great fun for all the family and the big kids!
- On the outskirts of Magaluf there is a real golf club where you can hire clubs, trolleys, buggies and balls. Perfect for the peolpe who miss their hobby while on holiday.
